Hello everyone. My name is Benjy Aaron. I'm a seven-year old blonde Lhasa Apso and my owner Bob thinks I'm the cutest dog ever. I look forward to my regular walks with Jenny and Terri and to socializing with all my four-legged friends at The Bark Zone. Even though Bob takes me to his office on a regular basis to do email and other boring tasks, I much prefer the fresh air, sunshine and (sometimes) snow that I get when I'm outdoors exercising with my "buds" at The Bark Zone.

Even though I was very cute I was a real bum and my new family was going to send me to a farm. One night Jenny came to my house and my whole life started to change. My puppy Charlie is a 2 year old Portuguese water dog. When we first adopted Charlie, Jenny was an incredible help with training (especially training us) to make Charlie a well behaved member of our family. Charlie absolutely loves going for his daily walks and my daughters constantly joke that he’s going for his “playdate” with his doggy friends. We always know Patrice is at our home long before he lets himself in as Charlie begins frantically wagging his tale and running to check out our front window. When Dougie joined our family, he was a very scared 6 1/2 weeks old puppy. He wouldn't eat and he cried all night long.

My initial impression of allowing someone else to care and take part in the training of my dog was a little apprehensive, but after being referred to Jenny by my aunt I found that her level of expertise and professionalism was far beyond what I would have expected. Being that I'm about the most neurotic dog owner in terms of his care, I even took a few days to accompany her on the walks in an effort to evaluate the company's competence with the animals.
Obviously I was impressed. I've now been with The Bark Zone for almost two years and even though my lifestyle has changed to allow me more time to walk Dylan myself, he still visits with them on a reduced schedule. If this is more of a monetary decision for you, trust me in that you will never find the same level of service and length of walk for the fee they charge.

I love my Bark Zone walks. I wait at the door and come home dirty and tired and so happy. If my family is not home they feel secure knowing The Bark Zone always comes on time and has good long walks for me. I also like boarding with my Bark Zone friends. There are other nice dogs to play with and we stay in peoples houses so it is cozy for me.

Como vai? This is Portuguese for how are you?
They call me BLUE but my Mom and Dad and sisters and brothers and my niece are crazy because in reality I am a black (yes, totally black) Portuguese Water dog.
I am rambunctious and yet obedient and am everybody's best friend. I am oh so cute!. I like to jump on people I don't know (which makes my family mad) and occasionally I piddle around because I get so excited (which makes them even madder!).
My favourite part of the day is when Terry (or Marc, or Jenny) come to pick me up for a walk. Let me tell you: it is great!. I get to not only walk but run, jump, sometimes swim (I am joking but I would like to.
After all I am a WATER dog) and play with many of my friends. We frolic and we bark and we get treats that are yummy!
Sometimes I even get to go home with Marc and that is even more fun.
Sometimes he brings two or three of my friends and that is the greatest!
We have slumber parties and put on pj's and get to drink..... water of course. He is great! He lets us lie with him in his enormous sofa while he tickles our tummies. But he always follows my dad's instructions to the letter: Only my special food and never any greasy treats that would hurt me.
The Bark zone people are fantastic!!! I like them all and my family does too. Let me tell you: I see other dogs around when they are being walked by someone else (even their daddies and mommies). But I feel sorry for them because we are better cared for and we have more fun.
If you have a dog like me (only if he or she is fun, we don't like
bores) call them. Great for walks, boarding or special occasions.
PS. Just like at me! A gorgeous angel!

Kobe and his brother Max look forward to their weekly walks. The Bark Zone dog walker Mark is reliable and communicates Kobe's day with me as needed. Kobe has also boarded with Bark Zone and they go above and beyond to make sure he is happy and well taken care of when we are away. I wouldn't trust Kobe to anyone other than The Bark Zone. Dealing with Jenny and her staff is always a pleasure. They understand each dog's specific needs and respond to every question or concern as quickly and efficiently as is possible for the past 6 years.

It's been six-and-a-half months since "King" Louis came into my life. Well who knew what to expect. Louis had been returned to the breeder from where he originally came and the poor little guy had been shunted around for a while before I appeared on the scene. I won't say that it was love-at-first-sight, it was more like a "shrek", the sad little fellow had been shaved right down to the skin and looked beyond lost, but those eyes and that smile. I was taken immediately, even though he really was not sure about me until really only a few months ago...
A neighbour who'd had experience with the lovely Ms Jenny; achtung ! said I really needed PROFESSIONAL help and that's how we came to THE BARK ZONE. I'm not sure where we would be today without her ... It's not that Louis didn't have the right stuff, but he was so skitzed out when he arrived on my doorstep and Jenny calmed him down and showed both Louis and me who's boss. (that would be Jenny, OF COURSE). He has become the "mensch" that I always thought he could be. I guess that it's all about structure and continuity... He is madly in love with Joann and waits patiently by the door on Wednesdays and Fridays for her car to roll into the drive and then he's out the door for a morning of fun, frolic and exploring new parks, ravines, woods and just being with all of his new found friends. It's just a joy to see the whole thing unroll.
Ladies, we love you dearly and enjoy everyday knowing that you are there for us.

Hi, my name is Lyla, and I am a Jenny-holic. Before these two suckers that pick up my poo and fill my food bowls introduced me to Jenny, I was just another average 95-pound Malamute in the city. My days were spent guarding the bone-burial pit I created in the back yard (those two had previously used it for flowers and grass, lol!), checking the insides of couch pillows for hidden treats, and the various beds in the house for firmness. Then, one day, that big SUV pulled up, the door opened, and my whole life changed. Now, instead of dreaming about chasing squirrels, I actually get to chase them when we go to the park. Umm, I'm about 0 for 1898 attempts, but that's because, uh, I'm nice. Now, instead of barking at all the dogs that walk past my yard, I get to play and wrestle with them in the park. I'm a pretty incredible wrestler - you should see me in tights. And when I come home, I barely have the energy to order some lunch, let alone attack a pillow.

My name is Mac and I'm a golden doodle. Everyday I wait (no so patiently) for my dog walker to come and pick me up. I'm so excited to see him and all my friends. I get to run and play and I get lots of fresh air. No matter what the weather, my dog walker comes and takes care of me. My mom says they are very loving but also professional and dependable. I love my dog walker a lot. Both of my parents work full time and my brothers are at school all day. The Bark Zone provides a wonderful and necessary service for my family and they trust them implicitly. My mom receives a report everyday on my behaviour so she can tell if I've been naughty or nice. I've even been boarded through the Bark Zone when my family goes on vacation and I spend time with my other family and dog friends. I'm glad my family chose The Bark Zone to take care of me.

Marley, our golden retriever, does paw-stands when Patrice comes to the door. He can't wait to get going and when he comes back from his walk, I can tell he has enjoyed himself for the two or more hours that Patrice has had him out. Recently, Marley went on vacation with Steve and I know that he was well taken care of. Steve asked careful questions about food and Jenny had me fill out a form that pretty much made me outline all the things Marley likes to do in a day, like go for car rides and sleep on the bed. I have recommended The Bark Zone to my friends who are now starting to get dogs themselves and I have no doubt they will be as happy with the service as I am.

"My dog Molly has been walking with the Bark Zone for the past four years. I have also known Jenny since we were five. Jenny has done wonders for my dog both through Molly's participation in group walks and on-on-one training. Jenny has a gentle, yet imminently effective manner and technique with the dogs. I have had the pleasure of also accompanying Jenny on her walks in the park. She provides a safe and stimulating walk and socialization experience for all the dogs. Her level of supervision for each dog and the "pack" dynamic is superlative. She is religious about ensuring that the walk times are at least an hour or more (walk time NOT car time). Molly always comes home clean and with a "report card" of her days' progress! I have also had the opportunity to meet and have Molly go with other walkers at the Bark Zone and have also had an excellent experience with her other walkers. Jenny is extremely accommodating and reliable for the needs of her clients and their dogs. Molly especially enjoys when she gets to go to Auntie's house (aka. Jenny's house) for sleepovers when her mother goes out of town. I know that this is money well spent when I see how excited Molly gets when she sees Jenny!"

Since the time that I was a tiny little pup I have been so fortunate to have my people friends at the bark zone come and take me for walks. I was always so happy to see them! When I got older I was allowed to join the group walks where I get to run and chase and play. I have made such good friends, I have learned socialization skills and get to practice (most of the time) my good behaviour and training that Jenny has taught my mom and I. I miss my buddies on the weekend and can get a little grumpy but when I do go I am happily exhausted when I come home so I sleep really well and can then continue to be as cute as can be. Mom has enclosed pictures of all these situations! She is always telling everyone how fortunate we are to have the bark zone, how they look after me all day if she is going to be late, how they drop me off at the groomers when it is 'that' time and how they let me have sleep over’s when she goes away. She says she trusts them with my life, that makes her very happy and that's a double win for me, I feel very lucky to have the care and companionship of all my friends at The Bark Zone.

We have been clients of the Bark Zone for about two years now. When we first signed our Portuguese Water Dog, Murphy, up for his daily walks with the Bark Zone, we were totally impressed with the fact that he was given an opportunity to run and play at a park every day. What we didn’t appreciate was how much exercise he would actually get and how much he would LOVE it! When our dog walker arrives every day, Murphy gets totally excited with the anticipation of his “play dates”. When he comes home, his tail is wagging, his tongue is hanging and he is totally happy.

Our 10-year old standard poodle was recently hospitalized for more than a week. His walker, Jo-Ann, twice visited Musha on her own personal time since she was worried about his condition and wanted to cheer him up.

Oliver has been walking with the bark zone for six years; in fact, he does the daycare program 3 days a week. We first met the Bark Zone in Viewmount Park when Oliver was just 5 months old, and he wandered over to play with the other dogs. I have since found the service to be invaluable. Oliver gets out for play and I can be at work, feeling confident that he is being well taken care of. I am also convinced that Oliver got a good part of his training while attending daycare, being part of a 'pack' and listening to the 'alpha' (and we know who that is). Most of all, I love that time of the day, when Oliver gets dropped off from daycare and comes running in to see me full of energy, like he's just had the best day! The Bark Zone has become a second home for Oliver, where he is loved and comfortable. I'd say were pretty lucky to have them in our lives.

Given our hectic lives, Jenny and the Bark Zone team have become our partners in raising and taking care of Redford since we brought him home as a little puppy. We have been using the Bark Zone's services to walk our dog Tyson, a golden retriever, since September, 2007 and we have been thrilled with our experience thus far. Not only is Tyson getting great exercise, which contributes to his overall health and temperament, he is generally happier. In addition, he has really benefited from socializing with other dogs.
We completely trust his walker, Trudy. As an added bonus, she makes sure that Tyson continues to develop what he learned in his previous obedience classes - especially his distance recall, which he usually disregarded before starting his walks. Before he began his daily walks, he also struggled with anxiety around strangers and in unfamiliar places. Thankfully, in the last 5 months we have seen a significant improvement in his overall confidence.

We have had experience with other walkers in the past: none of them have been as trustworthy and reliable as the Barkzone. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!
